Alisha Tan, a fourth-year LMC major and LST minor, has been selected to attend the Student Symposium at the 53rd Telluride Film Festival. Operated by the National Film Reserve, Telluride is a 4-day international film festival for many to premiere their films. The symposium takes 50 students through a dozen film screenings, along with filmmaker and actor discussions.

This summer, LMC student Natalie Ferry has been documenting her experience in South Korea through the Feel the Beat program.

Her journey has included exploring the history and culture of Jeju Island, attending a Korean professional baseball game, visiting Korea’s Independence Hall, experiencing daily life at a Buddhist temple, and building connections with students at Namseoul University. Along the way, she has gained firsthand exposure to Korean traditions, cuisine, and cultural practices.

Natalie is currently in Jindo at the Jindo National Gugak Center learning traditional Korean drumming and string instruments.
