Georgia State University Fraternity & Sorority Life Fraternity & Sorority Life at Georgia State University The Greek community at Georgia State has a long, rich tradition of fostering student involvement.

Since 1954, students have chosen to become members of fraternities and sororities because of the opportunities and experiences these organizations provide. Greek-letter organizations were founded on the ideals of scholarship, community service, leadership and life-long friendship. Georgia State University's fraternities and sororities continue to uphold these ideals, but strive to reach excellence

within each of them. Social Greek-letter organization are value-based organizations that provide excitement for the campus community. Greek Life at Georgia State University is governed by four governing councils which include: the Inter-fraternity council, Multicultural Greek Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Pan-Hellenic Council. Each governing council is composed of Executive Board officers and delegates to represent the needs of member chapters. The Greek Life staff is here to serve the entire Greek community in advisement and overall chapter and council success.
