From nerves about the question session to feeling fulfilled on the other side, Dr. Keenan Cameron’s journey is a reminder that preparation meets purpose in the defense room. Even with an unexpected fire drill just 30 minutes before, he stayed grounded, adaptable, and confident in his work.

His biggest takeaway? Passion makes the difference. When you truly care about your research, it shows—in your work, your voice, and your confidence when it matters most.
