Abby ElHamahmy recently graduated with a BS in biomedical engineering, minoring in applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

During her time at Tech, Abby was a LA program assistant for Tutoring and Learning Enrichment. She was also involved in Mock Trial and EMPOWER SCD/HealthReach. 👩‍⚖️

Dana Alamoudi is a newly graduated Jacket with a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering and a certificate in marketing. 🔬

During her time at Tech, Dana was a Co-op and Internship Lead Student Ambassador, an OUESS Student Advisory Board Member, Arab Student Organization Vice President, Georgia Tech International Ambassador, and a Briaerean Honor Society Member.

Angela Duodu is a recent Tech graduate with a BS in Computer Science. 🎓🖥️

During her time at Tech, Angela was a web and marketing student assistant for Specialized Advising. She also served on Lambda Delta Rho, the National Society of Black Engineers Publications Chair (2022-23), Black Woman Support Group, and Create X Idea-to-Prototype (startup incubator).

Next up ➡️ Angela will be working as a backend software engineer, launching a solo project, resuming her painting hobby, and traveling! 🎨🧳

Stephania Castro recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. 🎓⚙️

At Tech, Stephania was a CHEM 1310 PLUS leader for six semesters and a PLUS mentor for four semesters. She also served on the GT Salsa executive board for two years and was on their 2024-25 performance team.

Next up ➡️ Stephania will be interning at Engineered Recycling Systems over the summer and starting a master's degree in mechanical engineering at Tufts University in the fall.

🌟 Grad Spotlight! 🌟

Jasmine Brown is a recently graduated Jacket with a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering. 🧬

Jasmine served as a career peer advisor, BME HealthReach teaching assistant, mentor, and volunteer, and conducted undergraduate research in the Takayama and Davis Labs. She also participated in Georgia Tech's ESTEEMED Program, the LSAMP Peer2Peer Mentoring Program, and the Medical Robotics club.

Next up ➡️ Jasmine plans to attend the biomedical engineering Ph.D. program at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, with the goal of researching cardiovascular tissue engineering and biomechanics.

Congratulations to Sanjeev Anand for completing the Georgia Tech Research Option! 🐝

Sanjeev recently graduated with his BS in Biology. His research focused on the development of six different fluorescent plasmids that can be used for a variety of factors, ranging from cancer detection methods to treating waterways filled with bacteria. 🧬

Next up ➡️ Sanjeev plans to work as an EMT while actively applying to a post-baccalaureate program to prepare for medical school.

🌟 Grad Spotlight! 🌟

Gbemi Adeleye recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering and a minor in business. 🧬💼

A Denning Scholar, Gbemi served as a Team Leader ambassador for GT 1000 & GT 2000, an undergraduate researcher in the Bhamla lab, a recruitment director for Diversity in Business, and a member of the National Society of Black Engineers. Gbemi also held the roles of vice president, treasurer, and community outreach chair of the African Student Association and studied abroad in Peru.

Next up ➡️ Gbemi will be working in the medical device field and plans to earn a Master of Business Administration in a couple of years.

Congratulations to Austen Monteith on receiving the Georgia Tech Co-op Designation! 🐝 🎓

Austen recently graduated with his BS in Chemistry and completed his co-op at the Georgia Tech Research Institute. 🥽🧪

During his experience, Austen contributed to the development of advanced biochemical sensors and supported the design of magnetic nanoparticles for wastewater treatment and nutrient recovery.

Next up, Austen is returning to Georgia Tech to pursue his Ph.D. in Chemistry.👨‍🔬
