Hi everyone,

There is still time to donate to our travel fund for NFA Portland!

The GSU Flute Studio Georgia State Flute Choir is run by Jessica Petrasek, comprised of nine alumni and current graduate and undergraduate performance, education, and composition majors who concentrate on flute at GSU. We recently learned there are a number of our members who have never flown in a plane or attended an NFA convention, and this invitation is an even deeper meaningful opportunity for them to expand their horizons that they wouldn't have gotten to otherwise. Our program for this upcoming August performance highlights our own Atlanta voices - Nicole Chamberlain, Kelly Via, and a premiere by our junior composition major, Natalie Ng.

Your donation would help support our transportation and lodging expenses, and help our studio build and connect with the greater flute community. This flute choir invitation is the first of its kind for GSU - let us all experience it!

Any penny helps, but we also appreciate a SHARE... after all, shares are free! ;)

Our flute studio graduates when they were learning how to walk, now walking this Tuesday 🥹 Thank you Jaylan and Emily for all of your artistry, dedication and hard work during your time at Georgia State: both of you will be sorely missed and there is a home for you here always! 💙🐾🪈

The Georgia State University School of Music showed out for us over these past two bake sales and we have raised over $800 in funds to have us at Portland, OR for The National Flute Association Convention! Additionally, our GoFundMe and funding from the SOM and Georgia State University - College of the Arts has set us a bit over 75% of our goal to offset these travel expenses. We are so grateful to our community for showing up for us. Thank you! 💙🪈🐾
