Exciting news! The Center for Neighborhoods & Communities (CNC) in the College of Arts and Sciences is now a member of New America's Eviction Data Response Network (EDRN)! As one of 11 states chosen for the 2026 cohort, the center will work alongside Georgia stakeholders over the span of two years to build comprehensive and reliable eviction data pipelines to leverage for stronger housing stability solutions.

Dr. Deirdre Oakley, the center’s director, will be the lead Principal Investigator, and sociology professor Dr. Daniel Pasciuti will be the co-Principal Investigator. The EDRN, will provide them with intensive technical resources, funding, and strategic support. We are thrilled to congratulate the CNC on this significant new achievement! Through study abroad programs in Japan and the UK—“Japan: Culture, Arts, & Society” and “American Literature and Human Rights in Newcastle upon Tyne”—she bridged classroom learning with immersive global experiences.
