Everyone loves winning, but winning a medal, trophy or prize should NOT be the "goal" of ANY 4-H program. The goal of 4-H is simple: Positive Youth Development. Winning can sometimes be the result of hard work to develop Mastery of a skill, but 4-H contests and competitions are merely the way some of our youth enjoy celebrating the learning experience.

4-H Shooting Sports encourages youth to do the right thing.

From scoring a competitors target to reporting an alibi, the program builds individuals who value and display integrity.

Help send the Talladega County 4-H Shotgun Team to the National 4-H Shooting Sports Championship!

The Talladega County 4-H Shotgun Team won the State 4-H Shotgun Championship on May 7, 2023. This team has qualified to represent Alabama at the 4-H Shooting Sports National Championship in Grand Island, Nebraska on June 25-30,2023.

All monies raised will assist with registration and travel costs associated with getting this four-person team to the National 4-H Shooting Sports competition in Nebraska.
