We’re proud to share that Auburn Online’s Megan Slatton recently co-authored an article published in the Journal of Planning Education and Research.

The article, “Online Planning History Pedagogy Using Place-Based Immersive Virtual Reality,” explores how immersive VR can enhance place-based learning and student engagement in online planning history courses.

This event brings together educators, industry professionals, and workforce leaders to explore how AI is transforming teaching, learning, and career readiness and what that means for the future workforce.

A great question we’re hearing from faculty is:
If students are submitting video discussion posts, do those videos need captions to meet accessibility guidelines?

Here’s a simple, effective approach:
When setting up video assignments, include a quick instruction for students to turn on auto-captioning in Panopto. Since it’s already built in, this small step helps make content more accessible with minimal extra effort.
