Today, April 24, is recognized as National Historical Marker Day. Historical markers are metal signs or plaques that note a person or place that was significant to history. Some markers share local history, while others note stories of national significance.

There are several historical markers in Auburn that relate to Tubman’s time in the city. Take a moment this weekend to enjoy the spring weather and take a walk around the area to look for pieces of Tubman’s story.
