๐ŸทThe first three unforgettable days exploring the heart of Northern California hospitality!

From touring the iconic Lodge at Pebble Beach and wandering through Carmel-By-The-Sea, to dining at the legendary Sardine Factory, our Epicurean Trip started with experiences that define world-class service and destination hospitality.

Day two brought vineyard views and incredible hospitality at Pisoni Vineyards and Holman Ranch, complete with tastings, tours, and dinner under the arbor.๐Ÿ‡

We wrapped up day three in Napa with visits to Auberge du Soleil-Auberge Collection and Inglenook before reconnecting with alumni over dinner in St. Helena at Gottโ€™s.

Hands-on learning, unforgettable culinary experiences, and memories made alongside fellow students and industry leaders are only the beginning of this yearโ€™s Epicurean Trip.

Delicious parmesan cheese, refreshing wine, and a beautiful Auburn golden hour backdrop!๐Ÿท๐Ÿง€๐ŸŒ‡

Our Parmesan Wheel Cutting event on the Tony & Libba Rane Culinary Science Center's greenspace was an unforgettable evening filled with flavor, education, and community.

Guests gathered under the beautiful Auburn sunset to watch and learn how to expertly crack and cut an aged Parmesan wheel, then received fresh cacio e pepe prepared right inside the wheel itself, creating a rich, authentic flavor that simply canโ€™t be replicated.

Throughout the evening, guests sampled and compared two different Parmesan wheels aged for different lengths of time, learned about the subtle differences in aging and flavor profiles, and enjoyed tastings of four Italian wines alongside a welcome glass of sparkling wine. ๐Ÿฅ‚

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a fun and memorable night!

โœจWeโ€™re looking forward to offering even more unique community events, culinary experiences, and wine tastings throughout the summer. Check the link in our bio to sign up for our upcoming events!

Taste Around the World - Mixing classroom & culture โœจ๐ŸŒ

The Taste Around the World event took flight at the Tony & Libba Rane Culinary Science Center, where guests learned of and experienced authentic cuisines from Taiwan, Russia, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Argentina, and Sweden!

This senior capstone project brought together our Event Management and Culinary Science students to create six immersive global destinations, transforming this event into an experience of flavor, culture, and connection โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ

As part of their Global Gastronomy course, our Culinary Science students researched diverse cultures and cuisines from around the world, then brought them to life through authentic preparation and presentation.

Event Management students spent the semester building the event from the ground up, developing the marketing and designing each space to reflect the spirit and identity of each featured country as part of their course, The Event Experience - Strategic Design & Technical Production.

Guided by Senior Lecturer Nicole Gaillard and Culinary Science Instructors Dr. Souji Pillai and Dr. Hamzeh Hammadeen, with support from our graduate students, this collaboration showcased the creativity, precision, and drive our students have built all semester.

From concept to ex*****on, they delivered an unforgettable evening of international cuisine and hands-on learning, proving theyโ€™re more than ready to become tomorrow's leadership team for the global hospitality & tourism industry ๐Ÿฅ‚

ESD x ROTC x Nutritional Sciences: Building skills for a strong, healthy future ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ

In collaboration with Auburn Universityโ€™s ROTC Programs and the Nutritional Sciences Department in the College of Human Sciences, Eta Sigma Delta (ESD), the Hospitality Honor Society, Auburn University Chapter in the Horst Schulze School of Hospitality Management, hosted a culinary workshop for ROTC cadets this semester.

The workshop was led by Daniel de Oliveira, a Culinary Science alum and current Hospitality Management MS student, alongside a dedicated team of undergraduate ESD members. Cadets learned to prepare a simple, budget-friendly, and nutritionally balanced menu featuring a vegetable stir-fry, a chicken entrรฉe, and a cucumber salad.

๐Ÿฅ˜This hands-on workshop builds on ROTCโ€™s existing partnership with the Nutritional Sciences Department and aligns with ESDโ€™s mission to foster leadership and community engagement.

โ€œWe love seeing students discover that cooking can be fun, creative, and accessible,โ€ said Dr. Yee Ming Lee, Associate Professor and faculty member, leading ESD at the Horst Schulze School of Hospitality. โ€œThatโ€™s what collaboration is all about. Weโ€™re here to help the cadets feel confident in the kitchen!โ€

Learning to cook quick, easy, nutritious meals helps ROTC cadets stay healthy and prepared. These skills support them through their rigorous courses and into their future careers. Together, these programs build a tradition that empowers all participating students and cadets with practical skills that extend far beyond the classroom!โœจ
