UFWH chapters can sign up to be a partner host for the CERES Film Food Festival October 16-20. Partner hosts are responsible for promoting attendance to the festival and have the unique opportunity to actively participate in a panel discussion and share their community work with the global audience of the festival.

The White House is elevating the voices of people across the country who’ve experienced hunger and the impact of diet-related diseases through its online hub for today’s White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health. You can view the user-friendly video website and submit a video at https://whconfhungerhealth.capsule.video/. Videos should be no more than one minute.

Looking for ways to stay involved in the fight against hunger this summer? Consider these suggestions:

• Volunteer at your local food bank.
• Host a food drive. Our UFWH chapter in Hungary at the University of Miskolc recently hosted a food drive that collected about 604 lbs. of long-lasting food items.
• Test your trivia skills, and compete with friends or family by playing games on FreeRice.com or the FreeRice app.
• Use your creative talents to fundraise. Plant, sew, build or create something to sell, then donate the profits to a local nonprofit dedicated to addressing hunger.
• Challenge your friends or family to reduce their food waste.
