A.U. ALERT: A TORNADO WARNING has been issued for the Auburn main campus until 2:00 AM. Central Time. SEEK SHELTER immediately in the nearest shelter area or lowest level of the nearest building, away from outside doors and windows. Stay in the shelter area until the warning expires. Auburn University,

The greatest impacts of Hurricane Helene are expected during the overnight hours on Thursday, Sept. 26 and into early Friday, Sept. 27. As such, the Auburn University campus will close at 5 p.m. tomorrow and all classes and events are canceled for Thursday evening. At this time, the University plans to reopen on Friday, Sept. 27, at 7:45 a.m., notwithstanding major impacts to Auburn’s campus.

Safety is our priority as our Emergency Management Team continues to closely monitor the weather and evaluate plans in conjunction with the National Weather Service, public safety partners, and departments across campus. Any additional changes to normal university operations will be communicated via AU ALERT. Please make sure your contact information is updated now via the link in AU Access.
