Some experiences stay with you forever 💙

This past spring, Calvin Tran studied abroad in Greece through the Augusta University Honors Program & Augusta University Department of Communication Travel Photography program. He captured incredible moments, explored historic streets and ancient monuments, all while taking in the beauty of Greece. He embraced every part of the experience.

As Calvin put it:

“I gained a lot through this program. I gained friends, knowledge, a pound or two, but most importantly, an experience. Being able to immerse myself in the Greek culture and compare it to our own was like nothing else. Study Abroad allowed me to go on a side quest that I'll remember forever.”

We’re so glad you took us along on your “side quest,” Calvin.

Last Friday, we celebrated one of the most unforgettable people to walk through our office. Congrats to Austin Plagens on graduating! 🎓

Austin is truly larger than life. Whether he’s talking about his latest crochet project, sharing museum fun facts no one else knows, or convincing someone to study abroad in under five minutes, he brings a ton of energy, passion, and personality into every room he enters.

He somehow manages to be good at everything he tries, but what we’ll miss most is the excitement he brings to our team every day. The office will not be the same without him around.

We are so proud of you, Austin, and can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead for you. 🌍

Our BSN students have arrived home from Oaxaca, Mexico!

During their time abroad, they visited various healthcare organizations, including public health and non-governmental agencies, clinics, specialty hospitals, and traditional/indigenous health practices. Students explored historical sites and artisan markets, attended cultural events, and participated in the daily activities of local indigenous communities, learning how culture influences health beliefs.

Sun and service abroad!

Our Occupational Therapy students have returned from Jamaica after working hands-on with Mustard Seed Communities, and this one meant a lot. Students jumped right in, built meaningful connections, and provided therapeutic support to residents during their seven-day stay.

And they knocked out their Level I fieldwork while doing it 👏

Moments like these are why we do what we do. These memories will last forever.
