Augusta Athletics Extends Streak to 20 Consecutive Semesters Above a 3.0 GPA

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University Athletics continued its tradition of academic excellence during the Spring 2026 semester, posting a 3.30 departmental GPA and extending its streak to 20 consecutive semesters with a department-wide GPA above 3.0.

We are excited to officially introduce Brent McMillian as our new Director of Athletics during a press conference on Monday, June 15!

As the fourth director of athletics in AU history, McMillian brings 13 years of collegiate athletics experience to Augusta University. A Greenbrier High School graduate and former AU student, he returns to the community with a vision centered on student-athlete success, community engagement and the continued growth of Jaguar Athletics.

The press conference will begin at 10:45 a.m. and will be streamed live at augusta.edu/stream/.
