The Communication major offers students strong foundations for careers in Journalism, Public Relations, Television and Cinema, Theatre, and Communication Studies—any field in which ethical and effective practices in writing, speaking, performing, digital production, and critical thinking are desired.

Congratulations to AU Communication alumnus Justin Gray for being named assistant athletic director at Georgia Southern-Swainsboro campus. Justin was editor in chief and host of The Sports Squad and Dip Metress Podcast during his time at AU. He also was a stringer for The Augusta Press covering high school sports. He won several journalism award while at AU.
