Rawls exemplifies the Spartan spirit through his leadership in the community, at Leo Catholic High School, and through his involvement at Aurora University as a member of the President's Advisory Council of External Relations.

Shaka Rawls '99 was recently selected as a recipient of the 2026 Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Leadership.
