Our mission is to conduct horticultural crops research, extending new knowledge to industries and communities, particularly in the Willamette Valley. The North Willamette Research and Extension Center, referred to as NWREC, is a 160 acre research farm located just south of Wilsonville Oregon in the heart of the Willamette Valley. NWREC is one of 10 farm research and Extension branches operated thr
ough Oregon State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences as part of Oregon Agricultural Experiment Station (AES). NWREC researchers, Extension faculty and supporting staff focus their work and programming on Oregon’s most important local agricultural commodities including: nursery stock, berries, hazelnuts and tree fruits, fresh market vegetables and seed production, and Christmas trees.
