Talk it OUT Student Dialogue Series launches with Parkland event on April 5

“Talk it OUT” is a new student dialogue series aimed at engaging students in civil discourse around difficult issues.

Complementing the School Walk Outs across the country, “Talk it OUT: Student Dialogue in the Wake of Parkland” invites UT Austin students from across the political and social spectrum to come together, discuss the issues of gun violence and campus security and imagine a better way forward.
The goal of this non-partisan town hall style meetings is not to debate or protest, but simply to come together as a community to voice our concerns and ideas, to listen to others, and to explore our ability to work together to ensure security for us all.
This launch event will take place on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the SAC Ballroom from 7-8:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are free and can be reserved at https://www.facebook.com/events/285795971954563/

Sponsors for Talk it OUT include: Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution, Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution Office, Office of University Ombuds, UT Project on Conflict Resolution, Society of Professional Mediators, Bridging Disciplines Program on Conflict Resolution & Peace Studies.

They're the aha!-inducing thoughts about shame, vulnerability and daring greatly we can't get enough of. Look back at quotes from her first "Super Soul Sunday" interview and get a glimpse of what's to come on March 24.
