McNair Scholar, Janiece Jefferson, has accepted a fellowship with The Chesapeake Student Recruitment,
Early Advisement, and Mentoring Program (C-StREAM). She will be with the Potomac Environmental Research and Education Center at George Mason University in Woodbridge, Virginia assisting in on-going research of the cHAB (cyanobacterial Harmful Algal Bloom) organism Microseira wollei which is prominent in tidal freshwater areas of the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River.
