We lost one of our great crew members tonight.. He was always one of the rowdiest fans in our tailgates.. You will be missed Gabe Holmes. Rest in peace my friend.

A very sad day for one of our own founders in the 17th & Congress Tailgate crew. Adam Ladner was shot and killed in the overnight hours. He was a beloved spirit and adored his family, and of course the Texas Longhorns. If you have a minute, please view the GoFundMe page, and donate if you can. I will keep updated info as to funeral times as we need to come together and help our family in need.

The Longhorn camper is traveling to Dallas for the Big 12 Championship with Texas vs ou!!
We will have a small setup in lot 10 along the grassy area. Let us know if you’d like to come out as I’ll need to know how stuff to get, we will likely have some type of breakfast, lots of beer and some liquor. Also let me know if you’d like to help setup, while small we can always use extra hands. The parking lot opens at 7am sharp and we will be in line around 6:30am. We hope to see everyone out there. Even if you don’t have a ticket for the game, we will be showing it at the tailgate.

Just a reminder that we will not be tailgating this season. The good ole city of Austin has closed our area and we decided it would be too difficult to relocate. We will look into future years to see if we might be able to continue. With that said, we will be around, popping into other tailgates. So let us know where you are and we will stop in to say hi!
Also we will be at the Maryland game, so let us know if you’re up there and we can meet up.

I meant to post this here earlier.. but it’s still not too late..
Not weather related. But I wanted to share my March Madness bracket challenge that I do. Basically fill out a bracket online and compete against others to win. Even if you know nothing about basketball teams, it’s always fun to play, as we’ve had people get into the money that knew nothing.
Here is the email I send out.. please let me know if you want in and if you have any questions.

Just got word that there will be no tailgate allowed next year due to major construction!!! 14 years of tailgating may be coming to an end..
