Two Slug alumni were part of a grueling, 11-day, 416-mile adventure race called Eco-Challenge Fiji, caught in a 10-episode series streaming on Amazon Prime.

Okay, big-hearted Banana Slugs, now is your chance to show your well-learned UCSC life skills. Reminder, Amplify Austin is still going on until 6pm tonight. It's our annual 24 hour power-pledging day. So far, over 7 million dollars have been raised for 735 organizations! Almost every nonprofit you can think of is listed, both from Austin and Bastrop. Check out their website to find your favorite groups to support. As you know, I'll advocate anytime for affordable housing, animal rescue organizations, environmental groups and supporting the arts and artists.
