Riverland Parent Club

Riverland Parent Club The Parent Center is a resource in the East building in room C-137 available for student parents. The lunch and learns occur from 11:00-12:30 every Monday.

The Riverland Student Parent Club provides support, outreach, referrals and direct services to Riverland students who are expecting a child, have children or care for children. We provide free snacks, a quiet lounge and free Lunch and Learns on Mondays where we learn about a parenting topic while we provide a free lunch to student parents. Alternating between both East and West building cafeterias

. You do have to fill in an intake form to start receiving benefits but when the intake form is turned in you will receive a $20 gift card to Hyvee as an incentive for participating. There are many other ways you can earn money for participating in this program. We are here to help student parents in any way that we can. We also have Wendy Orozco a parent educator in office C-136 to help with any parenting struggle you might be going through. We encourage you to stop in and talk to her!

To my little kindergarten and preschool friends:
I am so sad that your class cannot come to the pumpkin patch this year. I miss you!
You can’t play in the silo or see the chickens or do magic or sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and A B C or watch Farmer John carve a pumpkin, but I planted pumpkins just for you and now I have too many. Would you please ask your Mom or Dad to bring you to Farmer John’s so you can go out to the field where your pumpkin is growing and pick out your own free pumpkin.
I would like it very much if you could draw a picture of my pumpkin patch or me or Farmer Jan or our dog Stine (rhymes with Lena)
