The Payne Fellowship is similar to the U.S. State Department Pickering and Rangel Fellowships for graduate study. It is intended to support students pursuing their MA degrees before entering U.S. foreign service in the field of global development. These are highly prestigious awards that cover the full cost of earning an MA and offer placement in USAID after graduation.
Undergraduate (sophomore, junior and senior) students and recent graduates who have not yet applied for graduate school are especially encouraged to attend.
In addition, IPD will be offering writing professional development sessions during the fall semester and applicants to the Payne, Pickering, Rangle, Truman, Rhodes, and other major information affairs-related fellowship competitions are welcome to join. Further information will be posted soon on IPD’s website at http://www.ipdutexas.org.
