Founded on April 4, 1986 at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa, the organization is committed to create and expand multicultural leadership, promote academic excellence, advance cultural awareness and service while influencing its mission amongst all dedicated collegiate men worldwide

The Eta Alpha Chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Incorporated was founded on November 22, 1996. The Eta Alpha Chapter has not only made an impact within the fraternity nationally but on this campus, and within our community, city, and state. Year after year the Eta Alpha chapter produces countless leaders and brothers who go on to change the world, as well as countless hours committed to scholarship, community service, and cultural awareness as well as the unmistakable commitment to one another.
