Remembering Gloria Steinem (1934-2026): In 2013, we had the privilege of sitting down with Gloria Steinem and Sissy Farenthold (1926-2021). In their wide-ranging conversation with Amy Goodman, the long-time collaborators discussed their work in feminist political organizing. Here, they discuss Steinem’s role in Sissy’s Texas gubernatorial campaigns and Steinem’s nomination of Sissy to be the 1972 Democratic candidate for Vice President.
