I have been racing for over nine years and currently race as a category 1 on the road. I have been fortunate enough to race my bike all over the US and even a line up for a couple of international races. In 2016 I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports science from Texas State University. The study of human performance fascinates me, as a result I incorporate training methods ba
cked by science as part of every athletes training program. In order to insure my athletes receive the best possible training I make it my goal to stay current as new credible research emerges. I believe that every athlete's training regiment should be as unique as they are. We are all different, we have different physiology, different goals, motivational levels, and time constraints. In this sense there is no "one size fits all" approach to training. As a coach my primary function is to teach, this means I always emphasize the "why" behind each workout. why am I doing intervals? At shred school coaching my goal is to empower the athlete to learn so that they can eventually feel confident taking charge of their own training. As we all know cycling is not a cheap sport, my goal is to make quality training accessible and affordable for everybody. I strongly believe that any athlete with the will to succeed deserves access to quality training.
