Texas Master of Science Programs The Texas Masters of Science Programs are new, 10-month graduate degrees from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

The McCombs School of Business has introduced three specialized graduate degrees to prepare recent graduates and entry-level professionals for new careers in highly-demanded business roles. Students develop strong technical skills and business acumen to help them succeed in fields at the forefront of industries today. The 10-month graduate program offerings include a Master of Science in Business

Analytics, Master of Science in Finance, and Master of Science in Marketing. The Texas MS Business Analytics program focuses on developing technical skills with programs such as Python and Java to help students extract insights from big data for industry application. Similarly, the Texas MS Finance prepares students from various academic backgrounds with quantitative skills to land exciting careers in three specialized areas including energy, corporate finance and asset management. Texas MS Marketing prepares students for innovative careers in marketing by providing them with analytical training in brand management, digital marketing, and consumer behavior. Students interested in applying for any of these programs do not need prior work experience to qualify.

Each semester, our Master of Science Advisory Council members gather on campus to ensure our MS programs evolve alongside the industries our students are entering.

From shaping curriculum to sharing real-world insights, their partnership plays a vital role in keeping our programs deeply connected to the evolving worlds of Business Analytics, Finance, Technology, and Marketing. 

Two weeks ago, with nearly 70 Advisory Council members in attendance, the networking conversations were a highlight of the day, giving current students the opportunity to speak directly to leaders who are helping influence the futures of their programs.

Last week 5 MSM students (Jack Hutton, Katelyn Cao, Sabina Zeynalova, Sydney Rude and Syed Usama Uzair) traveled to Nashville to compete in the National Collegiate Sports Analytics Competition, and walked away with Graduate Team Runner-Up and Jack Hutton won Individual Graduate Runner-Up.
