Huge congratulations to APU Theater Arts BFA alum Mackenzie Breeden (’15)! 🎭🎬Mackenzie hit a major career milestone with the feature film Horsegirls, which she produced and co-wrote! Horsegirls opened in theaters in New York City and Los Angeles on July 17, 2026, at Angelika Film Center and Laemmle NoHo, following its world premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Festival.

That’s a wrap on an unforgettable journey! 🎭

The APU Theater Arts Study Abroad program just wrapped up an incredible UK adventure! From taking inspiring theater classes at the iconic Oxford Playhouse and exploring the historic beauty of St. Mary’s Church, to soaking in history at Edinburgh Castle.

To top it all off, our talented cast took the stage at the world-renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival for an unforgettable run of Portraits of Americana.

Huge congratulations to our students and faculty who made this trip one for the history books!

APU Theater Arts has officially kicked off our study abroad trip to England! We wrapped up our first week immersing ourselves in history and world-class theater across London! From taking in the timeless magic of Shakespeare’s Globe 🌎🎭 to exploring iconic landmarks like the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace.
