We had a blast co-hosting the annual ACSI Science Fair! Grateful for the many faculty judges from APU Department of Biology and Chemistry, APU Department of Engineering & Computer Science, Azusa Pacific University Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics. Thank you J.R. Marshall (APU Department of Engineering & Computer Science), Curtis Isozaki (APU Honors College) and Faith Stults (BioLogos) for all your presentations! Great job to all the science project participants and congratulations to all the winners!

ACSI is glad to host its virtual Science Fair with Azusa Pacific University today! We have 75 students in grades 6-8 from 8 Christian schools across the U.S. sharing their projects in Engineering, Life Science, & Physical Science. We’re so proud of our students and their hard work!

So that’s a wrap for the celebration! Thank you Drs. Matt Heller, Beth McCoy and Dustin Van Hofwegan for presenting on vermicomposting, garden structures, microbiology of composting! Also thankful for volunteers who helped with the interactive tables! Last but not least, a huge shoutout to Dr. Paul & Mrs. Kieva Kaak, who labored tremendously to make the Community Garden to be a wonderful place for all! It’s been over two years since we hosted the in-person STEM Day. So fun that we got to show these young minds the wonders of science at the 2022 Brilliant STEAM Day! Thankful for Boundless Brilliance APU Chapter, Society of Women Engineers (SWE), TriBeta, The Latin American Student Association (LASA) and Dr. Elijah Roth (Chemistry) for all their help in making this event possible!

The grand finale of Earth Week includes the Earth Day Installation and Keynote Address at the Community Garden, starting at 12:00pm. Come hear Dr. Dustin Van Hofwegan (Biology) speak on the microbiology of soil, Dr. Matt Heller (Psychology) speak on vermicomposting, Dr. Beth McCoy speak on structures in the garden. Educational booths will run from 11:45am-4pm. Hope to see you there!

2022 Brilliant STEAM Day is right around the corner and we're excited to inspire those young minds to learn and appreciate science!

Back by popular demand, Brilliant STEAM Day will be in-person this Saturday, April 9 at the Segerstrom Science Center! This sold-out event will host elementary school students from the San Gabriel Valley to learn science in multiple classes from our STEM students and facutly. Thank you for the ongoing partnership and service to our community, Boundless Brilliance APU Chapter and the Center for Research in Science! We can't wait to hear how these budding scientists will catch a glimpse of the wonder and awe of God's world.
