You don't want to miss APU's Homecoming Concert featuring Brooke Ligertwood at the Felix Event Center on Friday, March 25, 8 p.m. Brooke is an esteemed platinum recording artist and Grammy-award winning songwriter, producer and worship leader. She has served the global church through song, leadership and creativity through her many years as part of Hillsong Worship, which she leads globally, while also maintaining a mainstream career of almost two decades under her maiden name, Brooke Fraser. Ligertwood has penned a growing anthology of beloved church anthems like “What a Beautiful Name,” “King of Kings,” “Hosanna,” and many more. Her debut solo worship album is set for release on February 25, 2022.

Each week for 10 weeks we will highlight an interview tip. This week it’s 📚Stories📚

Develop 5-7 adaptable stories from your resume related to the job you're seeking.

These are helpful in answering behavioral-based interview questions like: Describe a situation in which you recognized a potential problem as an opportunity. What did you do?

Start with the situation by describing the context and problem. Then explain what you did to improve the situation and describe the results in quantifiable terms.

This demonstrates that you understand the importance and the impact of your personal contributions. With these stories prepared in advance, you can adapt them to various questions.

Anticipate and prepare for the typical questions with strong personal answers.

- “Tell me about yourself.”

- “Share a time you failed and how you responded to the situation.”
- “Why do you want this job?”
- “Why this organization?”

Your responses should sound natural.
