The Carter Arts & Lecture Series

The Carter Arts & Lecture Series ABAC-Bainbridge's Carter Arts & Lecture Series is committed to enhancing education through compelling speakers, authors, poets, & performing arts.

The annual Carter Arts & Lecture Series was founded in 2013, as a series that brings experiences to students and the community that they otherwise would not get to experience. These events are designed to bring the campus and wider public together to educate, inspire and spark imagination. All events are free & open to the public--and held in the Charles H. Kirbo Regional Center.

To our valued supporters and patrons:

Better days are ahead! Our community and our world have encountered challenges this year that have not been seen in over a century due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This will not last forever, however, and we want you to know that our patrons are uppermost in our minds as we plan for a brighter future in which we again see each other and enjoy the rich tapestry of performing artists, poets and lecturers that make up the Arts & Culture at ABAC offerings.

While it was a difficult decision, we are suspending Arts & Culture events this fall. Please understand that this choice was far from easy; however, your safety and the safety of our performers and students remains our highest priority. Our decision was informed by guidance from the administration of ABAC, the University System of Georgia, and the CDC. The events impacted will include our Carter Arts & Lecture Series, as well as the ABAC Presents! Series, ABAC at the Tift, the Georgia Poetry Circuit, the ABAC Lecture Series, the First Tuesday Performing Arts Series.

It is our intention to have each series resume beginning January 2021 with the exciting variety of offerings you have come to expect from Arts & Culture at ABAC events. Be on the lookout for future announcements as we move closer to that time.

Your continued patronage and support of the arts in our community are valued to the highest degree, and all of us here at the ABAC Arts Connection are so grateful. We can’t wait to see you again!
