Thank you to everyone who participated and submitted your creations! There were so many excellent designs to choose from, which always presents us and the CSUB Alumni Association with a challenging time of selecting.

Recently, there was an unveiling of a Rowdy statue, proudly sporting a Roadrunners jersey and displaying `Runner pride!

“Rowdy is the spirit of `Runner Nation. When times get tough, he finds a way to rebound, and that reminds me a lot of Kern County,” said President Vernon B. Harper Jr.

🎓 celebrates top graduates of 2026! 🎓

Top undergraduate student Kelbi Banducci and top graduate student Alexandra Brown are both biology majors, research standouts and have served as mentors to their fellow Roadrunners during their time at CSUB.

“These remarkable grads have a lot in common, beginning with the fact that they are only children and first-generation college students who are making their mothers awfully proud today,” said Dr. Harper before conferring the President’s Medal upon Banducci and Brown at a ceremony at the Dore Theatre on May 14.

Just a few moments from commencement we can't stop thinking about. 💙💛

You made it to the finish line, `Runners! You crossed the stage, you held your "diploma" proudly to the crowd and you probably felt a huge weight lifted from your chest.

You didn't get there alone! Your family, friends, fellow classmates, mentors and professors have stood by you; cheered you on, stepped in when they needed to and gave you support through it all.

It's a celebration for you, who put in the work and showed up to class or turned in the papers. But, your loved ones are celebrating this achievement, too. ✨
