•When did you start wrestling and why?
“I started wrestling in 6th grade. I’ve been around wrestling my whole life due to my dad being a coach and my brother being a wrestler, so I decided to join as well. Best decision ever!”

•Best wrestling memory so far?
“Any wrestling trip spent with my dad going all around the country! My favorite one is when we went to Idaho and went in the mountains in our jeep rental car. I thought we were going to roll down the mountain at one point. We always make the best memories and have so much fun!”

•What is your favorite thing about the sport of wrestling?
“My favorite thing about this sport is community. I love how this sport has a big supporting community. I feel like because I know some people I know other people. So many people in this sport are just welcoming with open arms. Wrestling has also taught me how to overcome things in my life as well. For this I’ll be forever grateful for. It’s easy to give up and quit, but wrestling has taught me to never give up on my goals and dreams.”

•Who has been the biggest motivating person in your wrestling journey?
“My parents. My mom is someone I can always lean on through the good and the bad. I know she will always support me no matter what. Even when I lose a tuff match she will tell me how proud she is of me and how good I did. My dad pushes me to be the best version of myself everyday. He knows that I can reach my goals and will push me to achieve them no matter how much I have to sacrifice. My parents have given up so much for me and my brother to achieve our goals and I’m so incredibly grateful for them!!”

•What’s your goals for the team this year?
“To make sure everyone is having fun and staying positive. It’s easy to give up because it’s a long season. When the team is having fun it makes this hard sport enjoyable for everyone.”

•What does it mean to you to be chosen by your teammates to be a captain?
“Being chosen to be in this role means so much to me. Knowing the girls think I can lead this team to success or be there for them when they need it. It also feels good that the girls think I am a good role model on and off the mat. I hope that I can be a leader that these girls want me to be. I also hope that I can help them with anything they may need throughout the year.”

•What is your go to pre-match song?
“I don’t have a pre-match song, but I do have a pre-match wrestling playlist I play during every dual or tournament!”

•When did you start wrestling and why?
“I started wrestling my sophomore year in high school. My friend Amara had invited me to practice. I always thought it was cool that she wrestled and she inspired me to want to wrestle too! The girls at my high school also invited me to practice as well.

•What are some of your best memories in sport?
“My favorite memories in this sport would be wrestling on the same team as my sister and wrestling with the girls from my senior year in high school. I also enjoyed wrestling on summer dual teams and meeting new people.”

•What do you like most about sport?
“I like to learn a lot and my favorite thing about wrestling is always learning and putting the pieces together while adding my own twist to things. I like meeting new people and learning from different people as well. Wrestling has also given me family and some pretty sweet friends.”

•Who has been the biggest motivating person in your wrestling journey?
“All my teammates and drilling partners along with my club coaches, high school coaches and college coaches!”

•What are your goals for this year’s team?
“One of my goals for this year’s team is to grow together and have fun while competing.”

•What does it mean to you to be chosen by your teammates to be a captain?
“It’s sweet and it means a lot to me. I hope I can inspire others and be someone they can always count on.”

•What is your go to pre-match song?
“Depends on the day. I am not a big fan of listening to music before matches, but if it’s a good day I can count on Boosie Badazz.”

*I started wrestling when I was a sophomore in high school! I was told that if I tried wrestling, I wouldn’t be good and I love proving people wrong :)”

•What are some of your best memories in the sport?
“Going to wrestle in Spokane, Washington! We were able to explore Spokane, ride electric scooters, and even got Coach Alex to ride on the carousel!”

•What do you like most about the sport?

•Who has been the biggest motivating person in your wrestling journey?
*Definitely all my coaches along the way! •What are your goals for this year’s team?

•What does it mean to you to be chosen by your teammates to be a captain?
“It means a lot to me! I hope that I can be a leader on the team that brings positivity and energy everyday! I hope I can help bring my teammates together and that I can lead by example in my attitude, actions, and efforts!”
