Last night, the chapter hosted it's annual Parent Orientation meeting over Zoom in order to educate and/or remind our chapter's parents of who and what KS Alpha is, and what the upcoming school year will look like. We had the parents of the chapter members, members of the AVC, and even SigEp Grand President Tom Jelke in attendance!

Unfortunately, COVID-19 prevented us from hosting our 20th annual Spiking Out and Shave-A-SigEp event to support the the St. Baldrick's Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Douglas County. One of the SigEp cardinal principles is diligence, which the KS Alpha chapter decided to show a lot of when we decided to carry on with a remote Spiking Out event! Throughout the spring semester and some of the summer, our brothers have been working alongside St. Baldrick's to raise money and shave their heads in order raise awareness for the need of funding for childhood cancer research and to raise over $5700 for the St. Baldrick's foundation and BBBS of Douglas County! Attached are some pictures of some of our newly bald-headed brothers, and you can follow this link to view a great recap video of the virtual event made by our VP of Programming Mason Dukes! Enjoy!
