JHU Business Plan Competition First launched in the 1998 - 1999 academic year by the W.P. CATEGORIES
Each business plans may be submitted to only one of the following categories:
1.

Carey Program in Entrepreneurship and Management (now part of the Center for Leadership Education), The Johns Hopkins Business Plan Competition is a competition for full-time, part-time, post-doc students from any of the academic divisions of Johns Hopkins University. Highly qualified judges from a variety of business fields are selected to evaluate students’ executive summaries, business plans an

d presentations. Life Sciences (includes Biotechnology and Medical Devices)
2. General Business

The Top Eight Teams in each category will be selected and will proceed to compete in the final competition on April 28th.

Last April, JHU alum Peter Li presented the product "The Atlas Wristband" at JHU's Business Plan Competition. Since then, the Atlas has gained momentum in the wearable fitness device market, and made a strong showing at the Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas this past month. Read more below:

Business professionals networked with and offered advice to current students at the Second Annual Business Networking Event last Saturday in Levering Hall. The event was co-hosted by the business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi (AKPsi) and the student entrepreneur group StartUp Hopkins.

The dates for the 2014 Johns Hopkins University Business Plan Competition have been determined. This year's Medical Technology Category will offer two tracks, Undergraduate and Graduate and this category of the competition will be open nationally.
