As the 2012 Summer Olympics draw to a close, Loyola congratulates the Baltimore-native Michael Phelps. As the most decorated Olympian in history, Phelps has earned 22 career Olympic medals, including 18 golds. Best of luck in the future and we look forward to seeing you around the FAC!

Today we commemorate our namesake on the Feast Day of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The same high standards upon which St. Ignatius built the Jesuit order are the hallmarks of the first institution to bear his name - Loyola University Maryland. Happy Feast of St. Ignatius!
