The University of Baltimore Law Library's primary mission is to provide academic and research support to the students, faculty, and staff of the University of Baltimore School of Law. The law library is located on the 7th through 12th floors of the new John and Frances Angelos Law Center in the beautiful Mid-Town/Belvedere neighborhood of Baltimore.

Due to expected inclement weather today, the Reserve Room will be closed, and the Law Library Service Desk will not be staffed. The rest of the Library and study spaces will be accessible, but we urge you to exercise caution traveling should snow develop. Please also note that the revolving doors in the lobby are broken, so you should access the lobby through the neighboring double doors instead.

We are closing early for the long weekend, but we’ll be back on Tuesday!

The circulation desk will close Friday, May 24th at 4pm, and will reopen Tuesday, May 28th at 8am. For more information on our summer hours, please see our website.

The University of Baltimore Law Library is seeking current UB students for the part-time position of Student Circulation Assistant to start during the Summer or Fall term. Duties include interacting with University and public patrons at the 7th-floor Service desk, directing patrons to portions of the library’s collection, discharging and returning materials through the library’s system, reshelving materials, compiling patron statistics, updating looseleaf serials, opening and closing duties, and additional duties as assigned. The successful applicant must be able to lift 25 pounds, be punctual, and have the ability to read, write, understand, and follow directions.

The position reports to one Circulation Supervisor and, indirectly, to the Assistant Director for Access Services. The Law Library is normally open Mon-Thurs 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m., Fri 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., Sat 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., and Sun 12:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. during the term, with extended hours during exams and reduced hours after the July Bar Exam and during the Winter Break period.

Preference is for candidates that are available for weekday opening shifts (8am-1pm) this summer.
