Today, we wrapped up year three of CWIT's partnership with Building STEPS for their summer math tutoring program! CWIT-affiliated students and other volunteers worked with high school students from several Baltimore City high schools to help them improve their math skills as one way to prepare for their future college careers.

Thanks to everyone who joined us at the end-of-year picnic today! It was a beautiful day and so much fun!

Today is International Women in Engineering Day and we encourage you to check out this article that CWIT's Associate Director, Dr. Danyelle Ireland, has written. She shares some facts about the underrepresentation of women in engineering fields, as well as strategies that the Center for Women in Technology (CWIT) at UMBC and similar programs at other universities are using to help create positive change in this area.

We are so proud of all our CWIT, Cyber, and T-SITE May grads and excited to keep in touch to see all that they will do in the future.
