As financial aid disbursements are processed, we want to remind you to stay vigilant against fraudulent activity targeting students.
Threat actors often impersonate legitimate institutions to trick you into revealing personal or banking information. These scams may reference your financial aid, refund selection, or BankMobile Vibe account. To protect yourself, be sure to only use official websites: Refundselection.com or Vibeaccount.com.
If you receive a message asking for your login credentials, Social Security number, or banking details, do not respond. UMB and BankMobile will never ask for sensitive information via email or text.
Official communications from BankMobile (BM) Technologies will come from [email protected]. If you’re unsure about a message, contact UMB Student Financial Services at [email protected] before taking any action.
If you clicked a link or entered your information, contact the UMB Help Desk by email: [email protected] or via phone: 410-706-HELP. You can also report suspicious messages via the Phish Alert Button in your UMB email toolbar.
If you believe that your account has been compromised, take immediate action by contacting the UMB Help Desk, UMB Student Financial Services, or another appropriate financial institution depending on the account that may have been compromised. Your vigilance and careful handling of suspicious emails play a vital role in protecting your identity and financial information.
