Once again, we are logging miles and raising money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation this September as part of The Million Mile to fund lifesaving research for childhood cancer. September is childhood cancer awareness month. With Federal funding decreasing, we need all of the private foundation support we can get to find new therapies for pediatric brain tumors.
Would you consider joining our teams to log miles and raise awareness this Childhood Cancer Awareness Month?
If you can’t make that commitment this year, we would truly appreciate it if you could support my efforts by donating to this amazing cause.
Last year the Baltimore Brain Tumor Bashers raised more than $20,000, which was doubled to more than $40,000! Thank you all for raising these funds. We are using the money to provide the pre-clinical justification for launching a phase 1 clinical trial for a new, brain penetrant drug. With your help, we have demonstrated that it has activity in high grade glioma, diffuse midline glioma/DMG, ependymoma, medulloblastoma, and ATRT. Our ALSF Million Mile data is being shared directly with the people designing the clinical trial, so that the research you support is having a rapid effect on getting new drugs to patients who need them!

For the Eberhart team. Dr. Eberhart is using funds to advance targeting miRNAs that suppress senescence and to continue his work to disrupt stem cell factors in high-risk pediatric brain and eye tumors:
