TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is designed to help students be successful in college and beyond

TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) is funded by the Department of Education to help students be successful in college and beyond. TRiO SSS provides opportunities for academic development and serves to motivate students towards the successful completion of post-secondary education. The goal of TRiO SSS is to increase college retention and graduation rates of participants. TRiO has been extremely s

uccessful at helping eligible students achieve their dreams at colleges across the country for nearly 50 years. The TRiO SSS Office here at EMCC is staffed by caring and committed professionals whose mission is to help students meet and exceed their academic and professional goals.

Join us on Wednesday, May 3 from 5-6:30pm in Rangeley Hall for our TRIO Awards Banquet! We’ll be eating a delicious catered meal, recognizing our outstanding students and graduates, and having a grand old time!

Hi everyone. Jeremy here. Today is my last day with TRIO and EMCC. I tried to say goodbye in person to as many people as possible, but I definitely missed some people. Until we meet again, thanks for everything. Best of luck to all our students. You're in good hands with Mike and Sara while they conduct a search for my replacement. Hugs.

Jeremy's last day with TRIO and EMCC will be Friday, December 2. We'll be sad to see him go, but want to wish him all the best. Thank you for all that you did for our students over the past 5 years. You'll be missed. There's nobody quite like you and there probably never will be. Also, you definitively have the best eyebrows of anybody who's ever worked at EMCC.

Are you interested in touring Colby College? THIS FRIDAY, November 18, Mike will be a taking a small group of students to visit campus. The trip will depart campus at 8:00am for a 9:00am tour. If you’re interested in attending this trip or have any questions, please reach out to Mike directly as soon as you are able to.

Free Thanksgiving Boxes for EMCC students: The EM3C Food Pantry and Student Senate are partnering to provide FREE Thanksgiving meals to students. Students will receive a protein, side dishes, and a pie. Orders must be placed by Nov. 17. Students can order at this link: https://forms.office.com/r/6MRTf9zEqP. Students have the option to pick up their food at the Johnston Gym on Monday, Nov. 21 from 9am-4pm, or if they live within 20 miles of campus they can have it delivered for free on Tuesday, Nov. 22. Chef Joe Robbins is taking over Eastern Maine Community College Dining Hall from 11am to 1pm

The dishes he'll be making will be free of charge, you just need to pay for drinks or other items.

Bison tacos served on traditional fry bread
With iceberg lettuce and diced Roma tomato drizzled with Great Hopes Farm crema.

Three Sister Succotash
A medley of butternut squash, Lima beans and corn sautéed in sunflower oil and finished with jalapeño fermented honey.
