⚠️ NEW LOUISIANA LAW: Effective August 1, 2026, Act 305 increases penalties for ma*****na-related controlled-substance violations on or within 2,000 feet of school property. Louisiana law specifically includes public and private colleges and universities in its definition of a school. Violations involving ma*****na may result in up to one year imprisonment and a fine of up to $1,000.
