We're hiring a Communications & Events Student Intern to support social media, digital communications, graphic design, events, and more at Louisiana Community and Technical Colleges. The position is based on-site at the LCTC Board Office in Baton Rouge.

It's a great opportunity for students interested in communications, marketing, public relations, or design to gain hands-on experience, assist with public-facing events, and build professional skills.

Applicants must be able to work up to 20 hours per week during regular semesters and up to 29 hours per week during the summer.

Canvas is back online, and students, faculty, and staff may resume normal use of the system.

According to Instructure, the issue has been addressed and contained, and there is currently no evidence that institutional credentials were compromised.

Some integrations and services may still be in the process of being fully restored. Continue monitoring official college communications for additional guidance or updates.

LCTC is aware of the cybersecurity incident involving Instructure, the vendor behind Canvas, and is actively monitoring the situation.

Until further notice, students should not attempt to access or use Canvas. Instructors and college teams will work with students to provide flexibility and alternative communication methods as needed. Instructional guidance regarding grades and course work submissions, along with any additional updates, will be communicated through your instructors and college teams.
