Meet the professors who make FranU feel like home. ๐Ÿ

First up are Christopher and Hannah Ragusa, a husband-and-wife duo whose friendship, faith and passion for education have made a lasting impact on the FranU community. Through their dedication to students and the meaningful relationships they have built along the way, they reflect the connection and sense of belonging that define life at FranU.

Whether they are leading discussions, encouraging students or sharing a few laughs around campus, the Ragusas bring warmth, wisdom and joy to the classroom each day. June is Brain Awareness Month, a time to recognize the importance of brain health and deepen our understanding of the human mind. ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’™

From how we think and learn to how we build relationships and navigate challenges, the brain shapes every aspect of our lives. By studying human behavior, cognition and mental processes, we can better understand ourselves and those around us.

If you are passionate about helping others, exploring human behavior and making a difference in the lives of individuals and communities, FranU's Psychology program can help you turn that passion into purpose.

Dr. Tabitha Jones-Thomas was spotted in the socks!

โ€œI give to FranU because our students' success directly impacts the health of our community. As a nurse, educator, and patient, I know that the graduates we prepare today may one day care for me, my family and my neighbors. Supporting their education is one of the most meaningful investments I can make,โ€ said Tabitha, Associate Dean of Simulated Clinical Education

During this Jubilee Year of St. Francis, we invite you to by supporting Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University and the students we serve. When you give, youโ€™re not just making a donation, youโ€™re walking beside them.

Today, Terrance Adams serves as Chief Operating Officer at Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital, but his journey to leadership began at FranU.

After transferring to FranU in 2007, Adams entered the Nursing program ready to serve. However, after three semesters and many prayers, he found a different path to service within the Health Services Administration program.

Finding his true calling, Adams graduated in fall 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration.

He continued his education at another university, earning his master's in business administration with a concentration in healthcare administration, staying close to his nursing roots.

During this time, he completed two internships, leading him to secure an Administrative Fellowship with Mercy Health โ€“ Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.

โ€œIโ€™ve been fortunate to have exceptional mentors who supported my professional growth, leading to progressive leadership opportunities at Lourdes Hospital, including Service Line Director of Orthopedics and later Director of Orthopedics, Rehabilitation and Neuroscience Services,โ€ Adams explained.

After seven and a half years in Kentucky, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and opened a state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital as its inaugural Chief Executive Officer.

For generations, Americans have worked to strengthen their communities through leadership and service. At FranU, we are proud to prepare students who carry that tradition forward through health care, education and a calling to serve others.
