🎮 10 years of FranU. How did we get here?

What started as a School of Nursing in 1923 continued to grow, becoming Our Lady of the Lake College in 1995, and Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in 2016.

That transition marked a new chapter in our story, building on years of academic growth and opening the door to new opportunities for graduate and doctoral education.

Ten years later, we're still leveling up. And our story is far from over!

Ten years ago, Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University was a still a new name.

A nursing student at the time, Kristen Dominique was part of the class that attended the renaming ceremony as Our Lady of the Lake College became Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University. She was also part of the first graduating class of FranU, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2016.

Ten years later, Dominique is still part of the FranU story, now serving as secretary of the Alumni Association.
