Congratulations to our PhD student Ayman Said on his 1st place win at the SPE Student Paper Competition in the PhD division! Also, congrats to our undergrad student Nicolas Manica on his 1st place win at the SPE Student Paper Competition in the his division! The students had another fun day and represented us well.

Busy day for our Tigers on day 1 of at SPE ATCE. Student paper contest, alumni reception, and a great connection with Richard Corrie, who studied with Craft and Hawkins and graduated in 1954!!

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Fenelon Nunes. Mr. Nunes passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 20. He was the most energetic Lab Coordinator the dept has had the pleasure of employing, and he would do always go out of his way to help. Services will be announced this week, once arrangements have been finalized.

Day 2 of our 2nd annual LSU Carbon Management Symposium is underway. The event wraps up today, and it's been a successful 2-day exchange of information.
