Updated Realization of NAD83-2011 Coordinates -

Please forward this memo to your organization’s GPS field users/managers. The following outlines changes to the reference framework coordinates that may impact field operations.

04/18/2026

Several users of C4Gnet.XYZ are unable to log in successfully.

We started getting calls on 4/17/2026 about problems connecting to the RTN via DNS, which is C4GNET.XYZ

The C4Gnet.XYZ DNS is not working for some users, while it is fine for others. This took some digging, but we have narrowed it down to something not working properly with the DNS. We have a 100% effective workaround to this issue if you need it.

Contact [email protected] if you need help with a solution to this issue.

The Southern Louisiana Astrogeodetic Survey: Assessing the Performance of GEOID2022 along the Mississippi River -

NGS participated in a 2024 survey to measure geoid slopes with astronomical techniques along the Mississippi River between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. This survey validates GEOID2022 in a region where accurate orthometric heights are critical, yet data is sparse.
