Solidarity with hungry students!

Too many UK students cannot pay for food and housing. UK does not provide enough resources to these students. SSTOP Hunger is launching a Basic Needs Campaign demanding President Capilouto
1. Establish and fund a physical Basic Needs Center.
2. Establish a Basic Needs Fund.
3. Create a full-time Basic Needs staff position.

A lot of our Greenthumb members attended the Kentucky Student Environmental Coalition Fall Summit this weekend and had a great time. We learned and taught each other and other environmental organizers from across the Commonwealth.

Thanks to Cara Cooper from the Kentucky Student Environmental Coalition for visiting us at our meeting last night and teaching us about what it means to be a part of something bigger! We had a blast last at our potluck last night--so another round of thanks for everyone who brought delicious homemade goodies!

UK Greenthumb had a great time at the tailgate this weekend helping our football fans recycle with UK Recycling! Go cats!
