WILLIAMS (MATT) BRYAN - OUTSTANDING STUDIO ARTS STUDENT OF THE YEAR AWARD
Williams (Matt) Bryan from Chapin, SC is a junior art major with a concentration in Media Arts in USCB’s Department of Visual Art and Design. He is interested in concept art, film, television, video games, and pop culture, and is an outstanding student in all courses, especially painting, drawing, media arts, and art history.
Matt‘s work displays an exemplary commitment to professional craftsmanship and he creates an impressive output of work both in- side and outside the classroom. He has consistently demonstrated skill and talent in drawing, painting, and digital media. A particularly
interesting project passion involves creating character concept art for a post-apocalyptic video game. As president of the Art Club, Matt has worked hard to plan multiple events and outings, including an upcoming museum trip to Washington, D.C. He is committed to bringing interesting experiences to the USCB art community and involving more students in art activities.
Matt currently works as a mascot designer for a design firm in his hometown and plans to pursue a career as a concept artist for video games after graduating next spring. Matt has maintained an outstanding academic record, while balancing multiple jobs and his own passion projects. He is a positive, talkative and charismatic individual who is a joy to have in the classroom.
The Department of Visual Art and Design is pleased to recognize Matt Bryan for the 2020 Outstanding Art Student Award for his achievements and success as an artist and student.
