This week, we hosted our LIT Enrollment Fest for new and returning students! Attendees received help with admissions, class registration, FAFSA, and scholarship applications, along with guided campus tours. We can’t wait to welcome our Eagles back for the fall semester!

We hosted our LIT Foundation's 19th Annual Sporting Clays Classic on May 16th at the One In One Hundred Gun Club. This clay shoot benefits the LIT Foundation and student scholarships. Registration is now open for LIT’s Pathways to Industry Kids Summer Camp.
This free summer camp gives incoming 7th–12th grade students an immersive experience exploring careers and technology used in Southeast Texas industries.

Students will be introduced to areas including instrumentation, AutoCAD, welding, mechatronics, police and fire academy, EMT, automotive, pharmacy, radiology, process operating, physics, truck driving, and more.

July 13–17
8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Lunch provided

Last week, the Lamar Institute of Technology Nursing Program held its first pinning ceremony celebrating the Spring 2026 graduating class, the program’s inaugural cohort of 20 students.

A nursing pinning ceremony marks the completion of a student’s nursing education and their transition into the profession. During the ceremony, graduates received their nursing pins from faculty or loved ones and recited the Nightingale Pledge.

Congratulations to our first nursing cohort as they begin their careers in healthcare.
