General information

SOP aims to create a small-scale farming experience that educates Belle Glade youth about the history of the area in which they live and have local youth participate in the economy through a simulated entrepreneurial venture. Additionally, our goals include providing students with a foundation for careers in all aspects of the agricultural industry, whether it is production, financing, processing, marketing, or distribution of agriculture products, or the vast network of supporting careers that provide the supplies and services as well as the management and conservation of our natural resource systems.

Products

Soil of Prosperity also oversees The Water Experience, a summer program of the Belle Glade Youth Empowerment Center that teaches youth about the work of the South Florida Water Management District. This program engages participants in interactive workshops on topics like chemistry, water conservation and Florida's natural habitat.
